I’m someone who suffers from a big deal of anxiety, so I’ve never had a particular obsession for the future in particular, and even though I like daydreaming, I tend to think over past times... but since I need to take the challenge I’d say I would like to explore Latinamerica, particularly Chile in some 37 years from now. This year I turned 37 and for that, I would like to see the country by the time I double my age.
Not a year ago, I learnt through social media that the first President of the Constitutional Convention was a woman and also Mapuche, and guess what! She’s also a Language Teacher colleague. And now having witnessed that historic moment: a Mapuche woman, proudly becoming a leader worldwide! makes me believe the future will be SO different!
I think things will definitely be different. I don't think there’ll be women or men, I think there’ll be just people, different shapes, different colours but nothing that may be strictly associated with either masculinity or femininity.
I think there won’t be much pollution nor consumerism, I wish there are no more wars within this territory in particular the wars fought against vernacular cultures, I do hope there won’t be more silly discrimination or abuse against women or the queer community and I certainly believe there will be only green landscapes because people, will hopefully have understood that the Ñuke Mapu (Mapuche concept to talk about “Mother-Nature" in its deepest sense) is the temple where we live.
I will be 72 by then, so I guess I will definitely like to stay in this utopian world I like to think about. If the country changes in that direction I will certainly like to spend my last years in an environment that respects everybody and above all, mother nature.

Wow, that's a very different vision than our current country, I have never thought about the future of our country, but this blog gives me an idea of what could happen
ResponderEliminarI share your ideas about the future of our country, it would be great to see a place where we all live together and regardless of your origin or ethnicity.
ResponderEliminarWouh Techear that deep his thought, but I like and find all the reason
ResponderEliminarWho knows, maybe that future will come true. Dreaming costs nothing
